Certified Production Technician Program

The Certified Production Technician Program is a collaborative effort between the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast and Eastern Florida State College. The program at Eastern Florida State College focuses on the core technical competencies of the entry-level production worker and is applicable in all sectors of manufacturing. This course prepares the student to sit for the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council Production Technician certification assessments: Safety; Quality Practices & Measurement; Manufacturing Processes & Production; and Maintenance Awareness.


Small Business Assistance CouncilCareerSource Brevard

CareerSource Brevard helps businesses to bridge the gap between having employees needing targeted skills and having a well-qualified workforce. CareerSource Brevard assists local companies in finding ways to subsidize the needed training for their employees, putting a priority on small business as well as focusing on key industries. CareerSource Brevard manages programs and facilitates application to many state-funded programs. The programs can assist employers with accessing subsidies and organizations to invest in their workers.


Juniors to JobsJuniors to Jobs

The City of Palm Bay, in partnership with CareerSource Brevard and the Palm Bay Chamber of Commerce, hosts the Juniors to Jobs program. This annual program offers local businesses the opportunity to work with passionate, high-energy students from Palm Bay’s high schools. Community business leaders are able to host a ‘Junior’ at their place of business for a summer program that gives the student an immersive experience in the workforce, allowing them to explore careers and prepare for the future.


SBDCFlorida SBDC

The Florida SBDC is Florida's provider of small business assistance.  As a federally funded organization, the Florida SBDC offers numerous resources, services, workshops and seminars to small business owners and entrepreneurs in order to help them succeed and grow. Florida SBDC sponsors seminars and workshops at no cost and fee-based courses and conferences that address a variety of topics, such as business start-up, basic management techniques, business planning, record keeping, specific industry issues, government contracting, international trade, marketing, social media and many others depending on clients' requests and needs.
